SRGDRR Inc aka Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab

SRGDRR is a 100% volunteer organization. Like all humane groups, SRGDRR is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. SRGDRR helps people to:Determine the right breed of dog for their lifestyle.Find healthy and companionable dogs that fit their circumstances.Find loving replacement homes for Danes they can no longer keep.Become knowledgeable about the care and training of their Great Danes.Resolve their Danes physical/behavioral problem.Overcome the grief at the loss of their loved pet.Stretch their tax dollar by assuming the Dane burden from public shelters.SRGDRR helps Danes:By providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused by their previous owners.We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment as necessary to return the Dane back to good health.We also supply training/socialization to ensure their adaptability to new, good homes.We work to place rescue Danes to people who provide secure, loving, and healthy homes.SRGDRR spends an average of $300 per dog that enters our rescue. In order for us to continue providing the best care and vetting for these babies, we need donations and adoptions. Thank you all so very much.

LOCATION: Prescott, WIDOB:07/13/2020Hello! My name is Val, and I'm a spirited 4-year-old living in Prescott, WI. I'm an energetic dog who loves to play tag and go for runs or walks. I adore being on a leash, and while I might pull a little at first, I quickly settle down and walk really well.I get along great with male dogs and don't mind having cats around. When I first meet new people, I might be a little nervous, but I warm up quickly and love to lean against you for some side or belly rubs. Chewing on big bones is one of my favorite pastimes, and I absolutely love getting ground burger as a treat!I'm a curious explorer, so you'll need to keep anything you don't want me getting into out of my reach—I just can't resist checking things out! I'm potty trained and have an underground fence that I respect. I also know how to use a dog door to go in and out. I enjoy following people around and watching what they do.I'm great with kids of all ages and love to sniff and give kisses to the baby I live with. I like both men and women, but my dad is my favorite right now. I can be left alone, but I prefer a walk or run beforehand to tire me out and keep me from getting bored.If you're looking for a loyal and energetic companion who will bring joy and excitement to your life, I'm your dog!
