Roxy's K-9 Rescue

2 women over 50 yrs of age who have fostered for Helotes Humane Society and Animal Defense League in San Antonio Tx. We are mostly street rescuers for dumped, abandoned, injured and abused dogs. We take in pregnant strays if they are trusting, if not we take their entire litter out of the environment as soon as possible to prevent harm or health complications. We also pull dogs on the euthanisa list from ACS Animal Control Services in San Antonio and surrounding areas. We do this because all dogs have feelings just as people do and they deserve to live a healthy happy life filled with love.

Meet Ciindi

Hi, this is CINDI who is a pure breed Shih Tzu weighing 10 pounds and she is 5 years old.  This girl is a sweetheart, loves to ride in cars and walks well on a leash.  Even though she is crate trained, she prefers not to be in the crate especially if you are home.  She would rather sit on your lap or follow you around. This little girl was found wandering around the streets looking for someone to take her in, she was matted with long hair and it looks like she has had a few litters.  She is great at being groomed and taking a bath.  I am going to trim her face today and get some more pictures of her, CINDI has the makings to be a little diva is you let her, she just needs some love and a few outfits to show off.  This is a great dog that would make a good companion with someone who wants a cuddle buddy. Adoption Process
Adoption application is submitted, upon approval a meeting is set up to meet the chosen pet with a home visit. Once approved and the pet is a good match, a contract is signed. $150 adoption fee is paid and all medical records are turned over to new adopters. Must be over 21 yrs old and agree to make the dog an indoor family pet.
