We provide Animal Protection, Care & Control for Austin/Travis County. We also provide an array of pet homelessness prevention programs.

Meet SHIRO

Meet Shiro, an independent little guy who doesn’t need or want a ton of coddling. He takes in life at a more leisurely pace, enjoying the comforts of lounging when he can, and always ready to be alert and on point. Per his past owner, his social circles have included making friend with other small dogs and cats and he even lived with a 70 lbs German Shepherd. He especially likes the human ladies. If you’re looking for a low fuss companion for you or your pet, make sure Shiro is on your list to meet. Shiro is ready to get on with his life and move beyond the bars of shelter life. He's advocated for by his friends and fans including ClassicCaninesATX who is working to find land bridges home for displaced mature great pets that took a fork in life due to hardship.

Adoption Process
-At least 18 yrs of age -Photo ID -Current rabies vacc and vet visit within last year for any pets already at home -Proof of home ownership or consent from property owner -$75 fee -Signed Agreement, including assumption of all risks, medical needs -All animals will be spayed or neutered -We will not adopt out animals that have shown aggressive tendencies
