Straydog Inc

Straydog is a No-Kill Dog Shelter and Sanctuary located 70 miles SE of Dallas. Partner with Straydog and our mission – To rescue and rehabilitate homeless and abandoned dogs in a no-kill environment until each is adopted into a caring, loving home; and to act as a sanctuary for those dogs who are never adopted. Because of our location, we are able to provide forever homes in our sanctuary to any rescues who do not get adopted. We believe in the total care of the animal forever and always.

Meet Barney

My name is Barney and I came to back to Straydog with my brother, Fred, after being returned by my owners due to a family situation that did not include us.  We were both born at Straydog in December of 2020 and were adopted together as puppies.  Even though we love everyone here, we would love to be in a home again. I am a very sweet boy and I love spending time in the yard playing with my caregivers.  My brother and I are very bonded and will want to be adopted together.  We are very well behaved and can’t wait to be in our forever home.  Why not contact Straydog and arrange to meet us?

Adoption Process
1. Application 2. Home Visit 3. Contract 4. $175 fee includes shots, spay/neuter, and heart worm prevention
