Meet Bobby II (New Digs)

Great Dane | 3 years 6 months | 109 lbs Meet Bobby (aka Bobert, Bob-Dog, Bob), a loyal, goofy, loving, and handsome Great Dane who is searching for his new furever family! Like many other Great Danes, Bobby is affectionate, protective, and a true constant companion who loves to be around his people. Bob is generally laid-back, medium energy. He loves a couple of walks a day, and has fun running around the backyard at his current home. His favorite activities include chomping on his (extra-tough) chew toys, naps, and trying to sit on your lap as though he were a much-smaller pup. Bobby is up-to-date on all his medical needs; he is generally good with children when properly introduced; cats are an unknown; he can be selective about the dogs he meets, and would need to be carefully monitored with any introductions. This is a common recommendation for large breeds. He exhibits instances of resource guarding, specifically with his favorite toys, his bed, and even his humans. He is a vigilant protector, and his priority is making sure his people are safe. If you are looking for a guardian, he is definitely your guy! Bobby is crate-trained, housebroken, and he knows verbal and hand gesture commands for: “sit”, “lay down”, “place”, and “go” (helpful if you’ve had enough affection, because he sure doesn’t get tired of it!). He knows “heel”, and is working on leash-training. He would thrive with reinforcement, especially if he sees another dog and feels activated. Bobby loves to be around his people, but his pet parent travels frequently for work and has to be away during the day for stretches of time. An ideal home would be with someone who can spend more time with Bobby, once you are a member of his pack, he can’t get enough of you! He would love a yard to get his zoomies out, if multiple walks a day aren’t available. Loyal to the core, goofy, and has a lot of unconditional love (and laughs) to give - this majestic pup deserves a happy furever home.
