SRGDRR Inc aka Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab

SRGDRR is a 100% volunteer organization. Like all humane groups, SRGDRR is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. SRGDRR helps people to:Determine the right breed of dog for their lifestyle.Find healthy and companionable dogs that fit their circumstances.Find loving replacement homes for Danes they can no longer keep.Become knowledgeable about the care and training of their Great Danes.Resolve their Danes physical/behavioral problem.Overcome the grief at the loss of their loved pet.Stretch their tax dollar by assuming the Dane burden from public shelters.SRGDRR helps Danes:By providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused by their previous owners.We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment as necessary to return the Dane back to good health.We also supply training/socialization to ensure their adaptability to new, good homes.We work to place rescue Danes to people who provide secure, loving, and healthy homes.SRGDRR spends an average of $300 per dog that enters our rescue. In order for us to continue providing the best care and vetting for these babies, we need donations and adoptions. Thank you all so very much.

LOCATION: Dallas, TX DOB: 4/4/2024We have transport options nationwide! Meet Ringo, a gentle soul with a heart as sweet as his name is iconic. With his soft eyes, sleek coat, and the most charming little nub tail, Ringo turns heads without even trying. We think he’s a Great Dane and Lab mix, but whatever the recipe, it produced about 85 pounds of pure, loving goodness.Ringo is a bit shy by nature, and while he’s dog friendly, he thrives best in a calmer home with one or two other canine companions. He currently lives with five dogs, and while he handles it well, the busier pack dynamic can be a little overwhelming. When things get too rowdy, Ringo retreats to the safety of his crate, curling up with his beloved stuffed toys like a quiet observer of the world around him.This sweet boy is both crate and potty trained and has the kind of gentle temperament that suggests he’d do fine with cats, though he hasn’t met one yet. He’s also new to the idea of children, so a home with older, respectful kids—around age ten and up—would likely be the best fit. Ringo may not be the loudest or the boldest, but once he trusts you, his loyalty shines in quiet, comforting ways. He’s the kind of dog who might not rush to the door, but will always be quietly waiting in the background, ready to offer a soft nuzzle or a calm presence when you need it most.If you're looking for a low-key companion with a heart full of love and a soft spot for stuffies and cozy corners, Ringo just might be your perfect match.
