SRGDRR Inc aka Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab

SRGDRR is a 100% volunteer organization. Like all humane groups, SRGDRR is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. SRGDRR helps people to:Determine the right breed of dog for their lifestyle.Find healthy and companionable dogs that fit their circumstances.Find loving replacement homes for Danes they can no longer keep.Become knowledgeable about the care and training of their Great Danes.Resolve their Danes physical/behavioral problem.Overcome the grief at the loss of their loved pet.Stretch their tax dollar by assuming the Dane burden from public shelters.SRGDRR helps Danes:By providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused by their previous owners. We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment as necessary to return the Dane back to good health. We also supply training/socialization to ensure their adaptability to new, good homes. We work to place rescue Danes to people who provide secure, loving, and healthy homes.SRGDRR spends an average of $300 per dog that enters our rescue. In order for us to continue providing the best care and vetting for these babies, we need donations and adoptions. Thank you all so very much.

Meet Magnolia

LOCATION: Dallas, TXDOB: 03/05/2025Meet Magnolia, a spirited and lovable Great Dane–Collie mix with the energy of a young collie and the cuddle bug heart of a Dane. At just six months old, she’s a whirlwind of curiosity, playfulness, and affection—always on the hunt for her next chew toy or adventure. Magnolia has a bright, engaging personality that makes her fun and endearing, but she’s so full of energy that she’s looking for a home that can keep up with her playful antics.Magnolia adores people, is gentle and patient with kids, and gets along well with other dogs. She would thrive with a playful canine sibling (or a few!) to help keep her entertained and give her the social outlet she craves. She’s curious about cats, but they’re not always interested in playing, so a cat-free home or patient introductions would work best. She’s potty trained and sleeps through the night with kids in the home, showing that she’s learning boundaries quickly. While she’s not yet crate trained, that could be a helpful tool in her new home to support her ongoing puppy training. Magnolia is smart and loves puzzle games, so mental stimulation alongside her physical activity is key.Her ideal home would have a large yard or the ability to provide daily walks, structured playtime, and plenty of love and guidance as she grows. Magnolia is ready for a family who can match her energy, encourage her curiosity, and help shape her into the wonderful, well-rounded adult dog she’s destined to become. She’s a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion who will bring joy—and a little chaos—to any home willing to embrace her puppy spirit.========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .Note: SRGDRR adopts nationwide and offers transport options to help you find your perfect match!
