DFW Rescue Me

DFW Rescue Me is a rescue group whose primary goal is save dogs from the local city shelters from euthanasia and adopting them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as give them all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

Meet Jesse

Jesse is a 8-year old mutt who has been in the same home for the past 7 years. He is a super sweet boy who loves nothing more than to keep you company all day and snuggle with fuzzy blankets and his stuffed animal friends! His favorite one is his stuffed pink unicorn named "Maggie." He is our first baby and we love him like crazy! Unfortunately, Jesse is used to being an “only child” and has become increasingly anxious and uncomfortable around his foster’s 6-month old son over the last few months, especially as he starts to move around more. Because of this, we need to find Jesse a new home. Jesse is a truly sweet companion who really likes to just hang out with you! He is fully house#2;trained and is completely fine being left alone while you’re out of the house. Since he is older, he is not high-energy. He does enjoy walks and sniffing but is pretty low-maintenance in that regard! If you have a yard, he loves to “sun” and relax outside. He gets along well with some dogs (especially female dogs), but does have some resource guarding issues (with dogs, not with people) and can be anxious when he comes across dogs on walks. He hasn’t had much exposure to cats other than the stray cats in our neighborhood that he tries to chase. He is very content spending most of the day hanging out in the same room as you with a fuzzy blanket and one of his stuffed animals! He just wants to be around people! <3 Jesse might do best in a home without kids or other pets. Foster would provide food, bed, toys, and more. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Jessie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

Adoption Process
An adoption application and home visit are required for adoption. Adoption fees are $200 for dogs and $250 for puppies.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
