Almost Home Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization made up solely of volunteers. Our primary purpose is to rescue mistreated or homeless animals and place them in loving environments. We hope to bring about a significant change in the treatment of all animals through educational programs and by working closely with other rescue organizations and sanctuaries.Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation. No animal is expendable! We strive to give animals the safe and happy life they deserve.

Meet Yemina

My name is Yemina, and I’m the tiniest dreamer in my family. Just three months old and seven and a half pounds, surrendered with my siblings Yoshi and Yoyko. We came here not because we were bad, but because life wasn’t fair to us. Even though I’m so young, I already know how to hope. I hope for a soft hand to stroke my fur, a family that laughs when I do something silly, a home where my name means I’m safe. I hope for a future where my paws run on grass instead of pacing inside a kennel. They say I’m beautiful, sweet, and gentle—and I believe them, because I feel my heart glowing whenever someone kneels down to say hello. I just need my very own person, someone who will teach me what “forever” really feels like. I’ve waited quietly and patiently, but I’m ready now. I’m ready to be your puppy. Adoption Process
We require an adoption application and a contract. Our adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $90 for cats. Our requirements are listed on the website and on our contract.
