Meet Momma

My name’s Momma, and if I could tell you my story, it’d start on the edge of a lake. That’s where someone left me and another dog behind, like we were just an afterthought in a world too busy to care. I remember the water lapping at the shore, the sound of birds overhead, and the hollow ache of not understanding why. I kept waiting for the sound of footsteps coming back for me. They never did. But here I am—five years old, 67 pounds of laid-back sweetness. I may not know why I was left, but I do know who I am. I’m polite. I’m calm. I’m the kind of girl who will curl up by your chair while you sip your coffee, then happily join you for a nap when the afternoon sun comes streaming in. I get excited at mealtimes—my tail thumps the floor with pure gratitude. And when I discovered the doggie door? Oh, I took to it like I’d been doing it all my life. I love little ones, I love other dogs, and most of all, I love people. I’m gentle and kind, and I give all my heart with no holding back. What I want now is simple. A home. A family. A promise that I won’t ever be tossed aside again. Because I know this much: anyone who gives me that chance will have themselves a true gem, a dog who will love them forever and never let go. Adoption Process
We require an adoption application and a contract. Our adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $90 for cats. Our requirements are listed on the website and on our contract.
