Meet Alaska- URGENT NEED - HOME, FOSTER OR FOSTER/ADOPT

Dear Future Family, It’s me, Alaska. I don’t know your names yet, or what your voices sound like, but I’ve been waiting for you. Every day, I lie here in my kennel and imagine what it will be like when you finally walk through those doors and look at me — really look at me — and know that I’m yours. I’m only three years old, a 50-lb husky with fur as white as snow and eyes that have seen too many days of waiting. The shelter is loud and cold, and though the people here are kind, it’s not the same as having a home. My spirit feels a little dimmer with each passing day, but I hold onto hope because I know you’re out there. I want you to know that I’m a good boy. I walk nicely on a leash, I’m house trained, and I don’t mind my crate. I love going outside for adventures — the wind in my fur, the crunch of leaves under my paws — it makes me feel alive again. I do need a moment to be sure you’re safe and kind, but once I trust you, my whole heart is yours. I’ll lean into your hands, follow you wherever you go, and rest my head against you just to feel close. I’d be wonderful with older kids who can run and laugh with me, and I’ll be your loyal shadow whether we’re hiking a trail or curled up at home. What I want more than anything is to belong — to know that I’m not just another dog behind bars, but someone’s best friend, someone’s family. So, dear family, please don’t wait too long. Every day here feels heavier, and I need you. I need the warmth of your love, the safety of your home, and the promise that I’ll never be left behind again. I’m ready for my forever. Are you ready for me? With hope,Alaska *Guest Posting**You can foster to adopt, foster or foster to adopt!* If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at [email protected] or 865-236-0830.
