He is super friendly and gets along with all the dogs in the foster home. He loves to be near his human and will follow you all over the house.  He loves attention!  Snuggling is his favorite hobby, well, other than eating!  He will be your best bud on the couch or sitting in the yard.  He doesn't mind getting a bath and he loves to get brushed.  He is very laid back and enjoys napping.  So far, he seems to not care for walks.  He would rather lie down.  But he may just need more practice. Snoopy does not like being left home alone, so he must have a doggy friend to keep him company or go to someone that is home most of the time. Our must haves for him are: A fenced in yard Another younger small dog to pal around with, if you must work.  He would be ok to be an only dog if you are home most of the time. Someone that could be home more than not Because he’s a dachshund and barks no apartment, condos or high rises, please ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form.  They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal.  There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered.  We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states.  If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page.  Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend.  We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest.  We just can't get them from one coast to the other.  Please look for dogs on your coast.

Adoption Process
Our adoption process is documented on our website at: http://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/info/adoption We do check all references including vet and a home visit is conducted for each animal adoption unless the adopter has previously adopted and there have been no changes or large lapse of time.
