Shelter Animals Rescue Group

Our organization is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit, formed in 1996 to help save adoptable dogs and cats from euthanization at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter. We specialize in mixed breeds. Our shelter is often filled with very adoptable animals that must die because of space limitations, and we are devoted to giving a second chance to as many as we can. We house our animals in foster homes or boarding kennels for as long as it takes to find them permanent homes. We participate in numerous community events to promote our animals and the concept of adoption/rescue.

Meet India

See Courtesy Posting Disclaimer * I need to rehome my pocket blue American bully. India is almost 2 years old. She is registered with the NKC, but I have not been able to transfer her paperwork to my name. She is a huge cuddle bug with a goofy personality. She loves food and toys. She weighs about 45 pounds. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. I have to travel for work, and unfortunately my home situation has changed, leaving me with the need to rehome her. I have had her for 4 months and rescued her from living in a crate 24/7. She is a beautiful, loving dog who loves to play and get attention from people. India is good with dogs and curious about cats, but doesn’t seem to want to hurt them. She has not really been around small children, but she is fine with older kids. Please email me at [email protected], or call or text 865-705-1160 if you are interested in giving India the loving home she deserves. *Please be aware that this animal is a courtesy posting for the owner ONLY. SARG has no personal knowledge of this animal, nor of the animal's background and makes no claims with regard to the animal's health or behavior. Adoption Process
Application form, phone or personal interview, home visit, vet and personal references, adoption fee $125 dogs / $85 cats. Contract specifying that animals must be primarily indoor pets, dogs leashed or fenced; no declawing of cats, and that they cannot be passed on to others but must be returned to SARG if given up for any reason.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
