Meet PADDY
PADDY is still another male beagle to arrive at the shelter at the end of May 2025. He is also estimated to be about six years of age. And no, like the others, he has not yet been neutered. So, due to ongoing over loading at the shelter, he is initially being housed in a dog crate in the hallway. Staff takes them out daily to meet their needs and to give them walks, as time permits. As you can imagine, it is a lot easier to clean a dog crate when the dog is not in it than when it is! For those of you who are worried about size limitations wherever you live, PADDY had an intake weight of 25 pounds. Given his age, that should be it. However, he must be neutered before you can take him home as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
