Meet GINGER (Spayed!)
GINGER arrived at the shelter in mid May 2025 along with her brother named FRED. The two dog are listed as Beagles. He has not yet been neutered, but she has been spayed. So they are able to be housed together at the shelter. The two dogs are estimated at seven years of age. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Because she is already spayed, GINGER will be able to go home the same day that she is adopted!. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt GINGER or one of the other spayed or neutered dogs currently at the shelter. Even better, take a dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
