Emma

Shelter Animals Rescue Group

Our organization is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit, formed in 1996 to help save adoptable dogs and cats from euthanization at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter. We specialize in mixed breeds. Our shelter is often filled with very adoptable animals that must die because of space limitations, and we are devoted to giving a second chance to as many as we can. We house our animals in foster homes or boarding kennels for as long as it takes to find them permanent homes. We participate in numerous community events to promote our animals and the concept of adoption/rescue.

Meet Emma

See Courtesy Posting Disclaimer *This is Emma, and she needs help. She was found by an 88 year old woman. This sweet lady brought her in off the street, fed her, gave her a warm bed, and got her fully vetted. She cannot keep Emma for obvious reasons, and she has asked if I can help Emma find a foster home or a family of her own. Emma is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix, is about 55 pounds, gets along with other dogs, and loves children. Please send me a message if you are able to foster or adopt. Give this girl a chance! Call Charice at 865-315-2989 or email [email protected]. [Posted 4/22/2024]*Please be aware that this animal is a courtesy posting for the owner ONLY. SARG has no personal knowledge of this animal, nor of the animal's background and makes no claims with regard to the animal's health or behavior. SARG is therefore not responsible, nor do we make any claim about the adoptability of this animal.

Adoption Process
Application form, phone or personal interview, home visit, vet and personal references, adoption fee $125 dogs / $85 cats. Contract specifying that animals must be primarily indoor pets, dogs leashed or fenced; no declawing of cats, and that they cannot be passed on to others but must be returned to SARG if given up for any reason.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
