Murray County Humane Society

We are a small group of volunteers who try to help rehome surrendered animals & also pull & rehome from our local high kill animal control. We have a foster facility along with a few foster homes that house the animals until they are adopted (or live out their lives if not adopted). Our group is very dedicated to helping all that we can with what resources we have. We do not turn any away if we have space. We feel they all deserve a chance at life in a good loving home.

Meet Happy! This sweet, soulful boy is bursting with love and just wants someone to share it with. Happy is the total package—gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully well-mannered. He will get along beautifully with everyone—cats, dogs, kids, and adults alike. Happy enjoys his daily walks and is a dream on the leash—no pulling, no jumping, just calm companionship. But his favorite place of all? Snuggled up beside you on a cozy sofa, soaking in all the love he can. He’s had a rough start and needed hip surgery. Unsure of what happened to this sweet boy all he needs is to feel he can count on your love. He's fully healed now and ready to begin his next chapter—with you! He’s heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Medium in size.   All he needs is a forever home to call his own.  Give Happy the second chance he deserves—you'll be rewarded with a loyal, loving best friend for life. He is such a good boy all adoption fees are sponsored !  

Adoption Process
adoption application, home inspection, adoption fee ($250 for puppies which includes age appropriate vaccinations & spay/neuter, $175 for adult dogs which includes age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, & heartworm testing, $75 for cats or kittens which includes age appropriate vaccinations & spay/neuter)
