Happy Dog Rescue

We partner with rescue groups and shelters across the South to rehome southern dogs with loving families. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all our goldens’ temperaments and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. Their health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and spayed or neutered. Then we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.

To adopt please fill out an adoption Application  Be sure to watch her video! Mae is a 5 mo female German Shepherd Dog mix who was abandoned with her sister in on the streets of TN. She’s friendly, happy, well-socialized, never meets a stranger!  Good with other dogs and would enjoy a dog buddy in her new home. Fine with cats and living with several cats in her foster home. Great with kids and recommended for dog-savvy children 6 years and older.  Moderate energy level, enjoys lounging in the house. Good house manners. Housebroken and crate trained. Good on a leash, rides great in the car.  Loves to be with her people.  DOB estimated 4-1-25. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 35 pounds. AWESOME young shepherd mix will make a great companion (and jogging partner) for an active family who loves the breed. The process to adopt a dog includes: completion of an application phone interview with your dog’s adoption coordinator phone interview with your dog’s foster mom veterinary reference & personal references home visit adoption contract adoption fee* *adoption fees vary from puppies to adults to seniors and can be found on each dog's adoption application at the end of their profile.
