Meet Rucker

Meet Rucker, a nearly three-year-old Maltese mix weighing about 17 pounds. He came to us from his senior owner, who was no longer able to keep him. Rucker became overly protective of his previous mom, growling and nipping at anyone who approached her. However, in the rescue environment, he has been friendly, sweet, and compliant—just as his family anticipated.Rucker does need to get current on his vaccinations, but in the meantime, we strongly recommend adopters consider professional training due to his past guarding behavior. This extra guidance will help Rucker learn healthy boundaries and thrive in a new home. Adoption Process
Must be 21 to adopt. $180 adoptions fee for dogs and $125 for cats, must complete an application and an interview
