Meet Clara

We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.org Click on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.  Clara is almost 3 months old and has started her shots  She has 2 more appointments to go  She loves to play with her sisters and will need some chew toys  Clara must be adopted in the Sioux Falls area so our vet can complete her spay at 6 months of age  She is tiny so could easily be injured by small children. Clara is about 3 months and weighs about 3 pounds  Her adoption fee is $600 plus tax of $27 for a total of $627     My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay and microchipping. 

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
