Meet Monet

We are a foster home based rescue. Please fill out the online adoption application by clicking on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the online form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it. Hi! I'm Monet. I am a very affectionate girl. I love riding in the car, going for walks, running off energy in my foster home's fenced yard. I don't realize my size and I still jump up for pets and attention. We are working on this. I am skittish and untrusting at first. I am a bit apprehensive when I first meet small dogs that move fast and bark at me. I am just a puppy myself but I haven't been around a lot of other dogs yet. Do you have a fenced yard for me to run? Do you like to go for walks? I would love to snuggle in the big bed with you or I do listen when I'm told to sleep in my big bed on the floor.  I am 1 year old, I weigh 45 pounds, my adoption fee is $500 plus sales tax $22.50= $522.50    

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
