Height: 14 in and growing - we estimate Bella will be between 18-20 in when full grown. Bella is on the smaller side for a standard poodle. Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Bella requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Bella’s home would ideally be with someone who is home more than away. This could be work from home, home school or even an active retiree. Bella craves consistent routine. She isn’t interested in going out on adventures all the time, the occasional hike after she’s comfortable would be good for her. Bella is a bit of an old soul who hasn't had much opportunity to "dog" in her first 8 months. Right now, she wants nothing more than to be a companion on the couch more often than not. In her forever home, with plenty of physical and mental activity on a daily basis, we hope she'll blossom into a more gregarious dog that is typical of her breed. Bella would be happy with another dog but doesn’t necessarily need one as long as she has her people often. What is my personality like? Bella’s personality can be shy and reserved especially when faced with a new change. Once she’s comfortable and settled in an environment she is more than happy to seek out attention. Bella is good on leash and usually clean in a crate and in the home.  Bella is very curious at her foster home, she is often exploring the house and checking things out. She is hesitant with the foster mom but does eventually come up for attention and love. Right now Bella just needs patience and stability. Bella’s personality will shine bright once she’s settled in her forever home. How do I act when I first meet new people? Bella is timid and reserved when meeting people for the first time. Slow and steady wins the race with this girl. Other tips and tidbits: Bella's owners stated she was 8 months old when surrendered to rescue. We celebrate her birthday 3/10/2023. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
