Meet Ana

Sweet and curious best describes Ana. In her foster home, she has been thriving with love, affection, and sunshine. Ana has both calm and gentle energy, but can also get super excited and playful.Some of her favorite things include: long walks, rolling around in the grass, and playing tug of war. She’s always up for an adventure, sniffing her way through the world with curiosity, but she’s also happiest when she can simply lay next to you and soak up your love (and the sun).Ana is very people-oriented and needs a home where she can be close to her human—she thrives with affection and physical touch. She gives sweet kisses, always greets you enthusiastically, and responds wonderfully to a gentle, praising voice. While in our care she has been potty trained, understands “sit,” and only whines briefly if she knows you’re leaving her. She snores sometimes when she sleeps deeply (it’s oddly endearing) and she gets adorably excited when you talk to her, give her food, or take her outside.She’s gentle on leash, although she’ll pull a bit when she sees other dogs—never out of aggression, just curiosity—and is generally quite submissive. She does get startled by loud noises, cars, gutters, and tight spaces, but the more she is exposed to these things, the more she is able to stay relaxed.For Ana, a calm, quiet environment would be ideal, as well as the opportunity to have her human around often. Ana would also enjoy car rides often! Ana is ready to love and be loved—she just needs a human who will shower her with care, offer structure and calm, and enjoy her mix of playfulness and snuggles.She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
