Our organization is the oldest pet welfare one in our community founded in 1957. Our board is 100% volunteer. We operate an Adoption Center in our rural community with the help of minimal paid staff and many volunteers. Primarily we provide shelter, medical and social rehabilitation, promote S/N, responsible pet ownership education, and permanent placement for abandoned pets in need in our community.

Meet Comet

Hello there! I'm Comet, the pup with a heart of gold and a nose for adventure. My name may sound like I belong in space, but trust me, I'm just as comfy snuggled up on the couch with you. I'm a love bug, through and through. If you give me the chance, I'll sit on your lap and smother you with kisses all day long. I mean, who doesn't love a good snuggle session, am I right? But don't let my love for affection fool you, I'm also a pup who knows how to have fun! I love playing with my toys and going on walks, but what I love most is making my human friends laugh. I have a silly streak a mile wide and I'm not afraid to use it. In conclusion, I'm Comet, the pup who's ready to be your new BFF. I may not have come from outer space, but I have a heart full of love that's out of this world. If you're looking for a pup who'll make you laugh, snuggle you silly, and love you unconditionally, then look no further! I'm right here, tail wagging, and ready to blast off on a new adventure with you! Comet has already been neutered and is looking for his forever home! The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and deworming, Frontline application, spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag and a leash.  A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days.  The Shelter is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm, Friday from 10 am to 3 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.  Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: [email protected]
