What kind of home would be best for me? Popcorn needs a house full of fun. She would like to be active all day long doing fun things! Everything is fun in Popcorn's world. Popcorn will need an owner who can focus her attention with regular training. Popcorn could be a great athletic partner once she knows what to do. Popcorn has not had a consistent training routine in her 3 years. She would benefit from a mentor dog in the home that can tell her to chill out. Popcorn can settle herself but it may take longer than most dogs. Life is fun, fun, fun!
Popcorn has not lived with young children. She would do well with dog-savvy children 10+. Popcorn has a lot of love to give 24/7 and could overwhelm children with little/no dog experience.
What is my personality like? Popcorn has been well loved in her first 3 years. Her human welcomed a new baby, and life was overwhelming. Popcorn's owner knew that she needed more than what she could offer with a new baby to raise so she reached out to rescue for help finding a home that will love her girl and give her the life she deserves. Popcorn is happy, goofy, and on the go! There is always a squirrel in this girl's brain.
Popcorn will do anything for a snack. She is very intelligent and catches on quickly. However, continued reinforcement will be key to making Popcorn into a good canine citizen. Popcorn is curious about cats in a playful manner. Popcorn loves all dogs of all sizes at the farm.
How do I act when I first meet new people? Enthusiastic and loving, she's never met a stranger, every human is fantastic and believes they love her as much as she loves them.
Other tips and tidbits: Popcorn is estimated at 3 years old. We celebrate her birthday 11/13/2020.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
