Meet Hartley

Hartley is made of silliness and fun and practical jokes and big smarts and pretty much all of the best things an adventure dog can be made of. Hartley is somewhere around a year or so old, she wakes up with a fat grin on her face and she throws rays of sunshine to everyone she meets all day long. What a cool dog, if you like an intuitive, brilliant, biddable, active BFF type of dog who likes to do things, you've got to meet this kid. Hartley is a leggy 35-40lbs, she's got a kind heart and makes friends with everyone she meets. She's the party girl at camp, she makes friends fast and the games are wide open fun if she's calling the shots. In the house she takes a minute to settle, then she'll throw herself down and hang out until the fun begins again. She had not see much of the world when she arrived so her foster has taken her on many field trips and she's an enthusiastic participant in the Dog About Town adventures. She's loved the kids she's met and she's been kind to cats during testing, but does not live with either so she may need to learn that parkour is for outside. Does this goofy creature sound like your kind of dog? Head on over to southofthebully.com and put in an application, we can't wait to see who her new person will be!

Adoption Process
Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. To adopt, applicants must fill out a SOTB adoption application. We will also conduct a phone interview, along with a home visit, which must be completed prior to adoption. We place animals in homes based on what is best for the pet and deny homes where our standards are not met. We require all applicant's resident dogs to be up to date with all age appropriate vaccines and be on heartworm preventions. We check vet references and we also check 2 personal references before completing a home visit.
