Our dream is that one day, we won't have to.MERCY:An event to be grateful for, because it’s occurrence prevents something unpleasant or provides relief from suffering.RESCUE:Save from a dangerous or distressing situation.HAVEN:A place of safety or refuge.Mercy Rescue Haven is an animal rescue group located in Upstate SC.MRH was founded after the rescue of Mercy, a pit bull mix that was found starving and alone. Mercy passed away 5 months after her rescue due to leukemia, this rescue is to honor her.

Meet Greta

Meet Greta! Breed: standard poodle. Age: est 5-6 years. Weight: est 45lbs. Training: crate and leash trained - does still need guidance occasionally on the leash. She is doing well with supervised house training, but will need continued guidance as she has never lived in a home before now. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, she LOVES other dogs, and also does fine with cats. Good with adults/kids? Yes. Personality: Greta is shy, but very curious. She will follow you around, and she is learning to accept attention. Reason for rescue: retiring from breeding, it's Greta's turn to be the baby! Greta would do best with another dog in her home to show her the ropes. She has never known life without another dog, and she really looks to them for guidance. Greta has a lot of potential. She needs time, love, guidance, and patience to become the wonderful companion we know she is. Greta is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
