Meet Leonora

Leonora is a 2-year-old, 19-pound Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and resilience. Her early life was heartbreaking, but thankfully a kind soul stepped in and now Leonora is safe and ready for a brighter future. Despite her difficult past, Leonora is a quiet, gentle companion who is shy at first, but blossoms quickly when she knows you are a friend. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats and she’s already crate and house trained. She walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and brings a calm, sweet presence wherever she goes. Leonora is ready to start a new chapter in a patient, loving home where she can continue healing and finally enjoy the life she deserves. Could you be the one to show her what love really looks like? The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet’s age.    **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
