Our organization is the oldest pet welfare one in our community founded in 1957. Our board is 100% volunteer. We operate an Adoption Center in our rural community with the help of minimal paid staff and many volunteers. Primarily we provide shelter, medical and social rehabilitation, promote S/N, responsible pet ownership education, and permanent placement for abandoned pets in need in our community.

Meet Strider

WANTED: A Comfy Couch and a Forever Family Hey there, I’m Strider—a handsome Heeler mix, and I’ve got a confession to make: I’m the biggest couch potato you’ll ever meet. ️ While some pups dream of chasing balls or running laps, I dream of curling up next to you for a good nap. I used to live in a home with kids and other dogs, and I loved it—I thrived being part of a family. I’m already potty trained, I’m heartworm negative (healthy as can be ), and I’m about as chill as they come. Here’s what I bring to the table (or, more accurately, to the couch): ✔ Professional snuggler and nap buddy ✔ Dog- and kid-experienced ✅ ✔ Potty trained and easy to live with ✔ Heartworm negative and ready to start forever If you’re looking for a low-key best friend who will happily binge-watch TV with you, snuggle during naps, and love your family like his own, I’m your guy. Life is better with a buddy—and this Buddy’s name is Strider. Orangeburg SPCA – 225 Ruf Road, Orangeburg SC 803-536-3918 [email protected] | [email protected] Hours to meet me: Monday–Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM Wednesday: 10 AM – 2 PM Closed Sunday ✨ Outside-of-hours appointments available upon request! —Love, Strider (Couch Potato Extraordinaire)

Adoption Process
We interview potential adoption candidates, require applications, and have a formal adoption contract. Adoption fees vary based on challenges in placing some pets, but generally run from $95 to $130
