Underdogs Rock! Rescue

We are a small Portland, Oregon based 501c3 organization rescuing dogs from the over crowded shelters in Southern California, Alabama, and Hawaii. We foster the dogs until they are healthy and help them find their forever homes! Contact us at [email protected] work directly with Rescue Groups in Southern California to rescue dogs who are on their last days in the high-kill shelters. Because our dogs are in Foster Homes we get to know the dogs personalities and needs. As we know the dogs well and how they do in a home environment, we do a great job in matching families with the right dog, and the right family for the dog!

Meet Ella

Hi There! My name is Ella, I'm an 8 pound, 14 week old Beagle puppy mix of sorts and I'm such a fun puppy gal!  I really like my foster bro Bo Beau too, and if you are looking for two dogs, we would be a fabulous match up! Check out his bio too if you are interested. If you want to learn more about me, read on! I am the best puppy says my foster mama.  I am funny, goofy, playful, affectionate, super smart, quiet, and as my foster mama says "Ella is a bundle of JOY!'.  I know right? I'm kinda the ideal pup!  I love to play with toys and with my foster buddy Bo Beau.  He's available for adoption too if you want two dogs that love each other!  As I'm so young, I will be needing to go in to URR's vet to get my vaccination boosters and eventually I'll need a spay which Underdogs will arrange and pay for.  I'm not yet housetrained but I do go on potty pads.  I'm a quick learner though, and it won't take me long to catch on cause I'm also eager to please my humans! I'd do best with a yard, cause I love to run around. I've got puppy energy! I'm okay on a leash too. Full grown I might be about 25 - 30 pounds, so keep that in mind too.  Underdogs also requires force free puppy classes for my socialization and also for you and me to learn together.  URR has plenty of places they can recommend and many offer a discount for Underdogs! Oh, and I know I look so serious in my photos, but I'm really a happy gal in real life! Next step? Fill out my application.  See you soon! Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $475.  You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . Dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. Adoption Process
All adoptions require a contract, our fees vary on the situation. We complete home inspections prior to adoption and follow up with adopters after the adoption for assistance if needed.
