Meet Birch

Meet Birch!  Birch came into rescue with Cedar when their mom died tragically in a freak accident.  Their mom was well known in the small community of Shelton, WA and the residents rallied around to get the dogs somewhere safe to stay after her passing.  Birch is a 17 month old Pyrenees-Border Collie mix and still full of puppy!  He will likely have the energetic traits of a Border Collie so will need to be kept active and mentally stimulated so he doesn't get in trouble. He loves attention and it's difficult for people not to love on him when he jumps up and puts his arms around you.  So he'll need some help with not jumping up.  We are just getting to know this sweet boy so we will update his bio when we know more.  He is good with other dogs and has not been observed with cats or livestock.  Birch is being fostered in Shelton, WA. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $225 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959   Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.

Adoption Process
Potential adopters must submit an application. The application is screened and approved only if adopter meets fence requirements, passes vet check and phone interview process. The adopter must sign our adoption contract and pay the $275-$375 adoption fee.
