Fuzzy Pawz Rescue

We are a group of volunteers whose mission is to rescue and re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs and cats throughout Southern Idaho and Northern Utah. We work with many shelters and pounds that often find themselves with no room to spare.Whenever possible we also assist dogs and cats who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners.

Meet Stanley

Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Husky Mix Age: 3(ish) months old Adoption Fee: $150 Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped   You MUST fill out an application, do not email us:   Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/   Stanley is a rambunctious puppy who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after the people he was with were no longer able to care for him. He was pretty little then, but he’s a fast-growing boy who is looking for his forever home! We were told that Stanley is likely a Husky mix of some kind, and we think that’s right based on his affinity for talking and verbalizing! When he is fully grown, we estimate Stanley will be around 50 lbs.   This sweet boy is all play all day. He is active, playful, rambunctious, and curious. He loves toys of every kind - the squeaky ones for wrestling, the round ones for keep away, and the rubber ones for chewing. However, when the weather is nice, the backyard is his favorite place for sniffing, play hunting, and finding sticks.   When playtime is over, he will zonk out just about anywhere but is most cozy in his crate. He sleeps through the night in his crate too without much issue. If given the choice though, he would love to snooze on the couch next to you or in your lap. He’s so soft and snuggly, so his foster mom is soaking it up while he’s little.   His foster family has been working on some training with him such as learning to play bite lightly (a work in progress), walking on a leash (he’s getting better!) and knowing what “no” means (doing pretty good!) . He seems quite smart, learns quickly, and takes direction and diversion well.   In his foster home, Stanley is good with dogs and cats, though he is still learning about body language and boundaries. He would do great in a home with another playful dog who can teach him more! We’ve also had Stanley around kids, and he totally matches their energy, though he still sometimes can play a bit rough, so we think a home without very young children would be best. He needs a family who will continue training and exposure to new experiences to ensure he grows up to be a resilient and happy companion for years to come!   Keep in mind puppies are a LOT of work, he will need continued house training, work on walking on leash and of course at least the basics.  A puppy class is a great way to bond and learn new things.  Positive rewards training only!   If you think Stanley would be an energetic and fun addition to your family, fill out an application today.
