Northern Star Dog Rescue

Northern Star Dog Rescue is a foster based rescue who pulls dogs from euthanasia that have less than 20 mins to live. We also take in dogs that have came from hoarding cases, have severe neglect and abuse, fear, and health. We work hard rehabilitating them and then find them amazing homes.

Meet Buster

Buster is a bundle of joy and energy, wrapped in a furry package. His infectious enthusiasm for life is sure to bring a smile to your face every day. He's a high-energy pup who loves to play and explore, making him the perfect companion for an active family. One of Buster's most endearing qualities is his love for other dogs. He's a social butterfly and enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes. He's been especially good with small dogs, but we're not sure how he is with cats, so a cat-free environment may be best for now. Buster is making great progress with potty training. As long as you stick to a consistent schedule, he's likely to continue improving. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping him master this skill. Behind his high-energy exterior, Buster is a true sweetheart. He craves human affection and will eagerly shower you with kisses and cuddles. Get ready for a loyal and loving companion. Buster is a smart pup, but his high energy can sometimes get the best of him. He'll benefit from patient, consistent training to help him channel his exuberance in a positive way. A structured training regimen will help him become the best furry friend he can be. Buster is already crate trained, which is a big plus. It provides him with a secure space and can aid in his training. He also loves mental games. Buster loves to be on the move, whether it's going for long walks, playing fetch, or exploring the great outdoors. His energy level is boundless, so an active household or someone who loves outdoor activities would be a perfect match. While Buster enjoys the company of children at dog parks, he might be better suited for older kids who can match his energy and playfulness. Buster is looking for a forever home that can provide him with the love, attention, and exercise he needs to thrive. If you're an active individual or family who's willing to invest time in his training and enjoy his boundless affection, Buster may be the perfect addition to your home. We don't know his breeds but the search engine forces us to make a choice and since he acts like a Lab mix we marked him as such. If you’re interested in Buster, please I’ll out the pre-adoption application at https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue

Adoption Process
Our adoption process is first filling out a pre-adoption application. once we receive a background check, home check, and fence line check are done. Once that has been done then we contact you and talk about who your interested in and set up a meet and greet. All humans and other canines must meet. If the meet and greet go well and the potential adopters want to move forward to adoption trial they can. We do a mandatory two week trial. At the end of the trial should the potential adopters want to finalize then we proceed by the adoption agreement filled out, adoption fee paid, all medical records given and transfer the chip. We also have an adopters group that we love people to join so we can stay in touch with our furry friends and see their adventures.
