Pet Adoption League of Gem County

We are a non-profit animal shelter ran by animal loving volunteers. We are a no kill shelter. We spay and neuter all our pets before adopting out. Our goal here is to return lost pets to their owners, find homes for those who have none, and promote compassionate treatment of animals everywhere.

Meet Baxter

Meet Baxter Description: Baxter is bout 6-years old and weighs 53 pounds. He is a lively and affectionate Heeler Border Collie mix with boundless energy and a heart of gold. With his striking appearance and charismatic personality, Baxter is sure to capture the hearts of anyone he meets. Temperament: Baxter is a spirited and outgoing companion who loves nothing more than being in the company of his human friends. He is house trained and adept at using a doggie door, making him an excellent choice for families seeking a fun-loving pet. He has demonstrated friendliness towards other dogs and would likely thrive in a household with canine companions. However, his compatibility with cats and livestock is uncertain. Ideal Home: Baxter is seeking an active and loving home where he can receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship. An active family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging, or playing fetch in the yard would be an ideal match for him.  Adoption/Foster Application: If you're interested in welcoming Baxter into your home, please contact PAL to arrange a meet-and-greet and discuss adoption and fostering options. If you would like to fill out the form for adopting or fostering, please complete the adoption form here (for adoption) or the foster application here (for fostering). Volunteer Opportunities: PAL is always looking for volunteers to help in many ways to provide care for animals like Baxter. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact PAL for information or complete the Volunteer form here. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of animals in need.

Adoption Process
We have a 1 page adoption form. We do home visits on all of our dogs. Our adoption fee is $80.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. That includes spay/neuter and vaccines.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
