Meet Scout

Scout is the easy-going sort. Usually ambles around looking for new adventures. He is willing to go on his own or nap when needed. He loves to play tug-of-war and find new sticks to play leader of the pack.  He shares well at food time as long as others don’t waste time; he eats quickly and should be monitored.   He will snuggle right into your lap and doesn’t mind being a part of the dog pile at nap time.  Scout and siblings were about 11 weeks old on November 14; 5 months old at the end of February.   It is hard to say what breeds they have in them; something small, possibly some terrier and shih-tzu, maybe a bit of a small spaniel type.  If you're interested in adopting, please fill out the pre-adoption application on  https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue 

Adoption Process
Our adoption process is first filling out a pre-adoption application. once we receive a background check, home check, and fence line check are done. Once that has been done then we contact you and talk about who your interested in and set up a meet and greet. All humans and other canines must meet. If the meet and greet go well and the potential adopters want to move forward to adoption trial they can. We do a mandatory two week trial. At the end of the trial should the potential adopters want to finalize then we proceed by the adoption agreement filled out, adoption fee paid, all medical records given and transfer the chip. We also have an adopters group that we love people to join so we can stay in touch with our furry friends and see their adventures.
