Underdogs Rock! Rescue

We are a small Portland, Oregon based 501c3 organization rescuing dogs from the over crowded shelters in Southern California, Alabama, and Hawaii. We foster the dogs until they are healthy and help them find their forever homes! Contact us at [email protected] work directly with Rescue Groups in Southern California to rescue dogs who are on their last days in the high-kill shelters. Because our dogs are in Foster Homes we get to know the dogs personalities and needs. As we know the dogs well and how they do in a home environment, we do a great job in matching families with the right dog, and the right family for the dog!

Meet Catalina

3 years old, 25Lb, Catalina is beautiful inside and out, and she has the most soulful eyes. She is the kind of dog that captures your heart from the moment you meet her. This Beagle mix (our best breed guess) is the epitome of charm and affection, always ready to shower her people with love and attention. She is the sweetest companion you could ask for. She thrives on human interaction and loves nothing more than spending quality time with her family. Whether it's snuggling on the couch or out and about with you, she's happiest when she's by your side. Catalina is a well-mannered girl who walks like a dream on leash. She's an excellent walking companion, keeping pace with her human effortlessly. She's also great in the car, making her the perfect partner for road trips and outdoor adventures. Her Beagle nose often leads her on exciting scent-filled adventures during walks, but she stays grounded and focused on her human's lead.  Additionally, she is crate and house trained. Her food motivation will make her fun to continue further training endeavors with.   While Catalina has dog friends and goes out on pack walks. She isn't reactive when out around other dogs she doesn't know. In her home, however, she'd be best as an only dog as she worries about others dogs being around her food inside the home. She does, however, do well with the dog savvy cat she is fostering after a slow intro, and as long as their food and feedings are kept separate. Catalina would thrive in a loving home with a fenced-in yard where she can spend time outdoors, exploring and playing to her heart's content. A family willing to give her the attention and affection she craves would be the perfect match for this sweet lady. Fun Fact: Catalina's nose-to-the-ground approach to walking is classic Beagle behavior, showcasing her innate curiosity and love for exploration. But despite her adventurous spirit, she's always happiest when she's with her beloved humans. Think you and Catalina could be a love match. If so please complete an online Underdogs Rock Rescue Adoption application to see about a meet with this lovely lady. https://underdogsrock.org/adoption-application Catalina is spayed, microchipped, heartworm/tick disease tested negative, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She is being fostered in Hillsboro, OR. Her adoption fee is $380.
