Misfits, Mutts and Meows, Inc.

My husband and I have been rescuing animals for about 8 years by working with other rescue groups. We felt it was time for us to take matters into our own hands to get some of the many rescues we have adopted into their forever homes. We work with our local animal control to find homes for unclaimed dogs and we have many of the animals that others decided were to hard to get adopted. We want every animal to find the perfect home. Our local friends are a great help in getting to word out on those in need of homes. We are an environmentally friendly rescue. We utilize both veterinary medicine and natural healing to ensure the health of our animals.

Meet Leo

Leo was adopted as a puppy. He had a good life with his adopters, but both have since passed.  Leo is now 9 yrs old and weighs in at about 42 lbs .  He spent the last 1 1/2 yrs with the adopter's son, who now has also passed. He didn't provide the best care for Leo during that time. Leo is a very sweet and loving guy. He is an inside dog and does not like to go outside for very long unless he’s going for walks. He doesn't seem to mind other dogs. If you are looking for a laid-back couch potato to be your bestie, this is the guy for you.
