Saving Whiskers and Tails

We are a group of volunteers that realized the need for a rescue in our area for animals that are considered "last chance." We work with neglected, abused, starved, dumped, abandoned, injured animals. We have rehabed and adopted 2 Great Danes that were days from death because of starvation, a dog that was attacked by Coyotes, 2 gun shot victims, a dog that was purposely set on fire (we couldn't save her but we provided the vetting services for the family). We have rescued, at last count, over 180 dogs and cats that have been dumped and abandoned including several mothers and litters that we work to get into rescues out of state.

Meet Bonnie

As promised, SWAT is letting make my debut as POW. I should have been here yesterday but I had a little trip to the vet scheduled and I was all a twitter! Turns out, not all that bad. There are no puppies in my future, and I got a nap...BONUS! Oh backup, my name is Bonnie. I was picked up with my bro, Clyde near Chouteau. A nice lady was keeping us safe but we were living in her garage. Not perfect for two rowdy teenagers. Let's get the stats out of the way: I'm a Heeler/Boxer mix. Technically, that makes me a full blood Beeler. I am about 8 months old, 38 lbs. Short and stocky, perfect for just about everything. I am smart, very smart. Since coming to my foster, I've learned how to sit, lay down, walk on a leash and I'm working on "shake"...like with my paw, not the all over, just out of the creek "shake." I am ready for my Forever home. You can meet me by putting my name on the adoption form. I'll be in touch. ~Bonnie

Adoption Process
We require the family meets the pets for local adoptions and introduces the pet to their family and other family pets. There is an adoption application. We check references, including vet references. The adoption fee is only our vetting fee and any transportation costs that may be incurred.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
