Meet Dot GDP
Dot is outgoing, and she can also come off as kind of shy. She is a little lady, and when they other puppies are jumping up for treats or attention, she will sit back and wait her turn. She is playful and loves everyone. She does well with cats and is friendly with other dogs. Her foster home has children (ages 13, 9, and 6) and she does well with all of them. Dot loves to be held and snuggled, she loves to run and play chase, and she loves toys and bones. She is very active and will do best in a home with a yard large enough for her to run and with a family that will take her on walks. She is well socialized with her littermates, and she will do well being socialized with other friendly dogs from a young age. She plays with our cats, and will do well with cats as she gets older if she is around them often enough to not be overly excited when she sees one. Dot has a less dominant disposition than some of the other puppies, and she is not aggressive. The 8 puppies that we found (our neighbors found #9 and kept her) are fed together, and none of them are food aggressive. There was a little food aggression when we first brought them home, but we've had them for over a month now, and they realize that there is enough food for everyone, so the aggression that was displayed by a couple of them has stopped completely. Dot was almost solid white when we found the puppies, with only 1 dot on her head, hence the name, but as she's gotten older, light brown little freckles have appeared all over her body. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Dot is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.
Adoption Process
An adoption application and home visit are required for adoption. Adoption fees are $200 for dogs and $250 for puppies.
