Meet Daisy GDP
Daisy is the shyest of all the puppies, and she is the most timid of all the puppies. She is a little lady, and when they other puppies are jumping up for treats or attention, she will sit back and wait her turn. We had to start making her let us pick her up and cuddle her because she would stay back, almost like she was afraid of us, but now she knows that we mean love and kindness, and she comes up and politely asks to be picked up and cuddled. She will rest her head on your shoulder and gently lick your face. Shortly after we found the puppies, one of them tore the end of Daisy's right ear, and we wonder if that was why she was so stand offish for a while. We also think that's why she doesn't have floppy puppy ears - because she got to holding them in a different position after that happened. It has since healed but she has a little scar. She is playful and loves everyone. She does well with cats and is friendly with other dogs. Her foster home has children (ages 13, 9, and 6) and she does well with all of them. Daisy loves to be held and snuggled, she loves to run and play chase, and she loves toys and bones. She is very active and will do best in a home with a yard large enough for her to run and with a family that will take her on walks. She is well socialized with her littermates, and she will do well being socialized with other friendly dogs from a young age. She plays with our cats, and will do well with cats as she gets older if she is around them often enough to not be overly excited when she sees one. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Daisy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.
Adoption Process
An adoption application and home visit are required for adoption. Adoption fees are $200 for dogs and $250 for puppies.
