Meet Augustus

Meet Augustus! Augustus is a pure-bred Old English Bull Dog - they are the taller of the Bulldog breeds with the nubby tail but without the nubby legs. He was adopted as a puppy from a breeder, but the family evolved over time, moved to the country and this city boy is not equipped for ranch living. With a little person in the home and another one on the way, the family feels he is just not getting the attention he deserves and reached out to LHS for assistance finding him a wonderful new family. Augustus is very playful and always makes people smile with his excitable snorting. He does great with other dogs and does well with kids as well. He can easily knock them over without meaning to, so sturdier kids would be best. We have not seen him around cats, but we can cat test if needed. He does need some work on his leash manners. He is house and crate trained.  Gus is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm  negative and microchipped. Adoption Process
$200 fee for dogs and $250 puppies. They are fully vetted and put in foster homes until they are adopted. Adopters complete an adoption app and we will check their vet reference or do a home check. Once they are approved,they will meet w/ the foster family and dog to see if it's a good match for their family.
