Friends of the Shelter Foundation

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for pets in rural Oklahoma animal shelters through adoption events and fundraisers. We're focused on the Newcastle animal shelter since that's where we're based, but we also pull from other rural shelters when we can. We have adoption events and fundraisers year round. Please visit our website to see where we'll be next on our calendar!

Meet Sir Cleetus

*WE'RE A FOSTER-BASED RESCUE, NOT A SHELTER* (We don't have a facility) Sir Cleetus was found near Lake Stanley Draper in central Oklahoma, likely the victim of getting dumped. We took him in, once a foster home was secured, and he's been absolutely thriving! He's excellent with all her other dogs (2 are Great Danes) and her cats, plus he's patient with kids. He is shy when he first meets strangers, but will come around. There's no telling how he was treated when he was on his own. If you'd like to make Sir Cleetus part of your family furever, please apply on our website: shelterfriends.org Applications take around 5 days for processing, and then we'll email you. Make sure to add our email address to your contacts so our messages won't go to spam: [email protected]  Thank you!

Adoption Process
Everyone must complete an adoption application first. Once approved they can meet the dog/s they're interested in. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Our adoption fees are $100 for puppies under a year old and $75 for dogs over a year old.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
