Friends of the Shelter Foundation

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for pets in rural Oklahoma animal shelters through adoption events and fundraisers. We're focused on the Newcastle animal shelter since that's where we're based, but we also pull from other rural shelters when we can. We have adoption events and fundraisers year round. Please visit our website to see where we'll be next on our calendar!

Meet Oreo

*WE'RE A FOSTER-BASED RESCUE, NOT A SHELTER.* Oreo was found with an injured leg, which we had repaired last fall.  He's now fully healed and ready to find his furever home! He's house and crate trained, does well with other dogs, cats and kids. He can be shy when meeting new people but warms up with a little patience. Could YOU give him the second chance he deserves?? Apply on our website shelterfriends.org if interested ! His $200 adoption fee includes leg surgery, neuter, vaccines, deworming and microchip.

Adoption Process
Everyone must complete an adoption application first. Once approved they can meet the dog/s they're interested in. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Our adoption fees are $100 for puppies under a year old and $75 for dogs over a year old.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
