Meet Ruff & Sara
In the past two years, my family and I's life has been flipped upside down. We went from a happy life with dogs and a good backyard to nothing. In 2020 my stepfather was diagnosed with liver failure and was only given 2 years to live. We didn't have good insurance and the only way we could keep it was if my mother stayed home full-time to be his caretaker. When he passed away in 2022, my mother could not find a job since she had a year-and-a-half-long gap on her resume, because of this, we had to sell our house and move in with my grandparents in June of 2023. Since then our dogs have been well taken care of with*****I am a student living in the dorms and unfortunately can not take them back. My dogs are the most important thing to me and I want them to live out a long, healthy life where they are loved. Sara is a mixed-breed dog, We adopted her from the Norman Animal Shelter in 2014. We had no prior history of her or how she ended up in the shelter, all we know is that she was no older than 6 months when we adopted her. My stepdad adopted her and she very quickly became a fantastic dog to have around. She loves cuddles and is extremely protective over who she loves. Ruff is also a mixed-breed dog, We adopted him from Rose Rock Veterinary in 2018 when he was 16 weeks. He had been found on the side of the road with many injuries. My stepfather had a soft spot for him and brought him home. We were told he has disabilities that he might never recover from. He can barely see out of his left eye but other than that he has made a full recovery over the past 5 years. Both of these dogs would be amazing companions to have and deserve a long-loved life. THESE dogs do not have to be adopted together.
