Meet Border Collie Brats Momma Luna

Looking for a fun, intelligent pup?! Meet our girl, Luna. She is a border collie mix who is housebroken and good on a leash. This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence.  She is making great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " She can take a bit to warm up to you but once she does, it is worth the wait.  She is hassle free and will be the best dog you ever had".  She will do best with a family who responds in a calm, relaxed approach with a confident pack leader.  Luna can be protective of her toys and food.  She is not fond of puppies.  Because she is a border collie mix, she is highly intelligent, and for the most part not too energetic, but an active family is best for this girl.  She is affectionate, loving & loyal.  Her foster said she is the biggest snuggle bug & loves to be right next to her people although she is selective!! Luna is the perfect girl when given the time to settle in!! She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love & patience to show her she is safe & part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other K9's.  She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home.
