Adoption Fees
$300Merlin is just one cute, sweet little dog. He is about 1 yr old, has the funniest looks about him in a very unique way. Probably pomeranian but anyone's guess is what else. He is crate trained, good with other dogs, ok with cats. At under 20 lbs he is full of himself. Merlin was put outside in an apartment complex. He sat by the door crying for over 2 weeks and his people would not let him in. A neighbor finally reached out to rescue. He is a happy, busy boy that is going to be a great dog for a family that will love him. I am in a foster home so if you are interested in adoptiong me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.
Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
