Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals.We have a monthly pet pantry, provide temporary fostering for emergency situations, have a Senior pets for Seniors program, and more.

Meet Mack

Hi! I'm Mack. A big strong boy, 6 years old, weighing in around 112lbs. (Although, my foster parents say I could afford to lose around 10lbs & have been working on my diet and exercise routine) I'm a lovable, cuddly guy who loves to cuddle up on the couch if you let me. I do know the word 'no' and listen really well. I am house trained but not a fan of the crate (it's okay though, I'm not destructive when left alone.) I'm told I'm a flirt because I love women! I'm fine with men after proper introduction and continued training. I'm currently in a house with 3 human siblings, 6yo, 12yo, and 14yo & love them all but due to my size, I'd be best in a home with children 6 years and up! I am dog-friendly, with proper introduction but would be fine being the only dog in the house. I walk wonderfully on a leash and know basic commands like 'sit' and 'place'. Because my size can be intimidating to people, an owner or family with experience in large breeds and fenced in yard is preferred.
