Hello, my name is Earl Grey Tea. I am 12 weeks old. My mum is a Jack Russell/Australian Cattle Dog mix and weighs about 27 pounds. I am quite full bodied since I'm already 14 pounds. At the rate I am growing, they predict I will be 35-50 pounds when I am fully grown. Spending time with people sitting on the sofa in our flat, watching shows on telly or playing with my dog friends in the garden is always a marvelous time! I enjoy having nibbles like peanutbutter, cheese or biscuits with my friends. I like to take naps, give kisses, love toys that squeek or make noises, and a jolly good cuddle! I sleep in a crate all night and take naps in my crate during the day. I am still a baby but I am learning to keep my crate clean. Fancy a cuppa? Are you looking for a new bestie? It would be terribly good to get to know you! For just a little quid we can be mates for life! Only $300 and I'm all yours!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
