Meet Isabel

Meet ISABEL, a ray of sunshine on a cold winter day. This LITTLE girl is about 1 year old and fully grown at just 23 pounds (not a typo, 23 pounds). Isabel loves everyone and is always up for an adventure, especially in the great outdoors. Our best guess on breed is a Shiba Inu/Husky mix, but that's a guess. She's great with people of all ages, loves dogs and is fine with kitties. She loves loves loves people and would love to live life with an active adopter who will take her along on their adventures, whether it's a hike in the woods, a trip do a dog-friendly bar or to pick up dry cleaning. Isabel has a soft fluffy coat. If you look closely at her pics, you'll notice her left eye is partly blue. Isabel is a housebroken, loves treats, takes direction and correction well. Some lucky adopter is going to have so much fun with Isabel. If you'd like to meet this wonderful dog, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter, or you can meet Isabel at our weekly adoption event if she's still available, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, weather permitting. Check our Facebook for adoption event updates Saturday am.   All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
