Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Harold

ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Handsome HAROLD is one of the bestest good boys in the rescue. He's a fun, playful mixed breed boy. Harold is the perfect blend of silly and affectionate. He loves playtime, a good cuddle, toys and treats. Harold is a mixed breed boy, around 1 year old and fully grown at 43 pounds. The more we get to know Harold, the more we are convinced he's a labrador retriever/beagle mix. He has a goofball happy-go-lucky lab personality and a soft medium-length coat, plus the long velvety ears and perfect eyeliner of a beagle. Harold enjoys a good run and romp in the yard. He's dog friendly and fine with people of all ages. He's best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard and lots of toys. Harold takes direction and correction very well. If you'd like to meet this wonderful boy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Harold at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption.
